| The Stockton United Soccer Club is a non-profit organization that has been providing recreational soccer for adults in Stockton and the San Joaquin County since 1978. SUSC organizes leagues and tournaments to support Stockton United club teams & scholarships. SUSC operates a spring and fall soccer leagues. In both spring and fall we offer Men's 30 & Over and Men's 40 & Over divisions. Up to twenty teams will compete in these divisions. One of the fun social events Stockton United puts on is the annual Christmas party. In years past it was held at the Elkhorn Country Club, Spanos Reserve and Paragary's Restaurant in Stockton. Last year and the year before it was held at Isadore's Restaurant in Manteca. This year it is set for Saturday, December 3rd. Good food, a white elephant gift exchange and dancing have allowed members to socialize in a setting other than soccer. Guaranteed a good time for all who participate. Click on the above Xmas tab for more info. SUSC sponsors many club teams that travel to tournaments throughout the United States & beyond. Foremost is the "Wanderpokal". The forty five year old tournament is the oldest Men's masters tournament west of the Mississippi. We have traveled to Chicago, LA and Vancouver among other cities for this tournament. SUSC has sponsored three teams for this tournament and all have done well. In 2007 it was held in Anaheim, in 2008 it was in Santa Clarita. 2009 took us to Vancouver, Canada. Both the 35 & Over and the 45 & Over teams took 2nd place. Our 55 & Over team took 3rd place. In 2010, SUSC hosted the Wanderpokal Tournament, May 29 & 30 in Stockton. All SUSC teams did well. Our 35 & Over team took 1st place and both our 45 & over and 55 & over teams took 3rd place. This year the Wanderpokal Tournament was held in Anaheim. The Pheonix Club did a superb job hosting this tournament. While family's toured the Los Angelos area & some even got to visit Disneyland, the men squeezed in some good soccer. SUSC's 35 & over team took 2nd place while the 55 & over team took 3rd. Fantastic job by these teams & managers. Check Stockton United Soccer Club on Facebook for other information. SUSC has a board meeting usually once a month. Usually the second Tuesday of the month at Cancun Restaurant, Miner Ave. in Stockton. Starts at 7pm. Board meetings for the most part are open to the public. For more information contact us at info@stocktonsoccer.net |
